I originally used the regular posterboard that you buy at like walgreens or the dollar store. Unfortunately this did not work for a paper mache project because it made the paper crinkle and curve so much so that it wasn't exactly a box...lol. Ended up tossing it. So new structure coming soon!

As a kid I was infatuated with Nick, which was Alex's sisters boyfriend on the 80's tv series "Family Ties", because he used to make such cool things from the neighbors trash and was described as a rambo styled environmentalist artist. I also felt very drawn to the art materials in my art class. Not so sure what it was but it was a full room of things to play with. Another thing as I got older that struck me is how much stuff I see that people throw away on the side of the road. Well my future goal is to start picking up some of that junk and giving it a new life. But untill then I will be utilizing other handmade ventures such as paper mache, soapmaking, candlemaking and what ever other crafty endenvours I decide to conjure up.
